Ichiro Robs Homer, But What Was The Indians Bullpen Doing!?

Ichiro turned back the clock today and climbed the left field wall at Safeco Field to bring back a Jose Ramirez homer this afternoon. https://twitter.com/Mariners/status/980193403123113984?s=19

4 Inidans "Bullpen Bums" covering up for dear life from a homer
being robbed by Ichiro
As impressive as that catch was, especially at age 44. I couldn't help but notice the 4 members of the Indians bullpen as the catch was being made. Especially to the far right, haha. I mean c'mon guys, that ball is barely crossing the wall if not caught and going at a pretty hard downward angle. There would've been tons of time and room to react to that ball. This isn't a good look for the Indians bullpen. I fully expect their teammates to have a good time with this. I know if those were my teammates I would without a doubt have a good time getting on them about that.

This is a perfect cover photo for the "Bullpen Bums" gallery we have coming soon that will feature pictures/videos strictly about things that happen in team's bullpens throughout the season.

The Rundown - Opening Day

Opening Day 2018 is in the books with 26 teams playing their first game today. Here's the rundown of each game.

Pirates @ Tigers
Postponed due to rain. Will be made up March 30th at 1:10pm.

Nationals @ Reds
Postoned due to rain. Will be made up March 30th at 4:10pm.

Giants 1 @ Dodgers 0
Kershaw gets zero run support as the Dodgers are the only team to get shutout on Opening Day. Giants get the W behind a solo homer from Joe Panik off Kershaw for the game's only run

White Sox 14 @ Royals 7
White Sox tie Opening Day record with 6 home runs including 3 off the bat of Davidson. Duda also homers in first AB with Royals.

Phillies 5 @ Braves 8
Braves overcome a 5 run deficit by scoring 8 unanswered including the 3-run walk-off homer from Nick Markakis.

Brewers 2 @ Padres 1
Fans got free baseball in San Diego as the Brewers get the victory in extras.

Angels 5 @ Athletics 6
More free baseball on the west cost as the A's take advantage of Trout's first career 0-6 game and also spoil the much awaited debut of Ohtani. The A's got the W by way of a walk-off single from Marcus Semien.

Red Sox 4 @ Rays 6
The Sox waste a Nunez inside the park home run by giving up a 6 spot in the home half of the 8th to blow a 4 run lead.

Yankees 6 @ Blue Jays 1
Giancarlo Stanton picks up where he left off last year as he shines in his Yankees debut by hitting 2 dingers and 1 double while knocking 4 runs in.

Astros 4 @ Rangers 1
The defending champs open their title defense with a W behind 1 RBI each from Springer, Altuve, Correa, and Marisnick.

Twins 2 @ Orioles 3
For the 3rd consecutive Opening Day the Orioles win by a final of 3-2 all via a walk-off hit. This one being a solo home run off the bat of All-Star Adam Jones.

Cardinals 4 @ Mets 9
Mets use a 5 run 5th inning to help lift them to a lopsided victory in Mets new manager Mickey Callaway's debut.

Cubs 8 @ Marlins 4
Life without the outfield of Stanton, Yelich, and Ozuna is off to a rough start for the Marlins. The Cubs' Ian Happ homers on the very first pitch of the MLB season in Cubs victory over Miami.

Indians 1 @ Mariners 2
Nelson Cruz hits 2 run homer as Mariners hang on to a 1 run lead as Edwin Diaz survives 2 beaned batters and a balk to earn the save.

Rockies 2 @ Diamondbacks 8
Jake Lamb had himself a day as he started off with a 2 run double as part of 3 run first inning for the D-Backs. They never looked back after that as Corbin fanned 8 through 5.2 innings.

Opening Day!

BASEBALL IS BACK!

This day should be a national holiday, as the best sport in the history of all sports, America's past time, and the most beautiful and simple yet so complex sport of baseball begins it's new season!

This was the first Opening Day since 1968 that all 30 MLB teams were scheduled to open up on the same day. Unfortunately,  weather is keeping that from happening with the Reds vs Nationals was postponed over 24 hours before game time.

So many off-season moves have been made, big name players making debuts in their new uniforms. So many questions to be answered, can the loaded Astros repeat? How can the Yankees 2018 version or murderers row be stopped? Who's going to be this year's breakout player? And so many more that we will not get an answer to until months later.

So strap yourself in for another season of rooting your team on through the inevitable up and down roller coaster ride that is the Major League Baseball season!
